ILAB: Stolen Books und Breslauer Prize

Auf der neuen und verbesserten Stolen Book-Site können ILAB-Mitglieder gestohlene Bücher eintragen. Ziel sei es, so ILAB Security Chair Paul Feain, "to combat theft and to reclaim stolen property and bring thieves to justice." Er ergänzt: "Individuals, librarians and other booksellers may approach their local ILAB bookseller if they wish to enter any details of books stolen or if they wish to check if a book is listed. This data is frequently checked by numerous booksellers and in the past has lead to the recovery of stolen books as well as the conviction of thieves."

Als zweites wurde eine Website zum ILAB Breslauer Prize for Bibliography eingerichtet. Der mit 10.000 US-Dollar dotierte Preis wird alle vier Jahre, zuletzt 2010, für herausragende bibliografische Publikationen vergeben. Die neue Website präsentiert neben der Geschichte der Auszeichnung, die aktuellen Preisträger und bereits für die nächste Preisverleihung 2014 eingereichte Arbeiten.
