Die 47. Ausgabe der Cortonantiquaria – Mostra Mercato Nazionale d'Antiquariato findet vom 22. August bis 6. September im Palazzo Vagnotti in Cortona (Arezzo) statt. In der Begleitausstellung "Libri proibiti" des Londoner Antiquariats Bernard Quaritch und der Fondazione Giangiacomo Feltrinelli (Mailand) werden vierzig Bücher zum Thema Zensur und verbotene Bücher von 1500 bis 1900 – meist erstmals – präsentiert.
Die Exponate von Quaritch stammen aus dem aktuellen Katalog 1386 "Censorship" (101 Nrn.) der Firma. Im Vorwort des Katalogs heißt es: "Our selection gathers examples of illustrious and more obscure cases of censorship by Church and State, stories of unofficial yet binding checks, of self-censorship, of authorial modifications designed to gain social or official acceptance, of surreptitious and imaginative editorial endeavours, of piracy and copyright disputes, of exile, of forbidden practices, of the censorship machine at work, and of authors' bitter invectives against the 'fribling, fumbling Keepers of the Age'."
