Perera: " Much as we would love to be a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to spreading bibliophilia among the masses, we are a business, and as such must answer to the laws of the marketplace, a tough challenge in these times as many of you can attest. On the 1st of October the board of directors … decided that the company was not performing to their expectations, and that it would, on the 24th of December, cease trading, later to be dissolved."
Biblion Mayfair, ein Geschäft der Biblion Ltd., wurde im April 1999 in Grays Antique Market eröffnet, um zu Spitzenzeiten rund 100 Händler mit etwa 20.000 Büchern (auch online recherchierbar) aufzunehmen. Regelmäßige Veranstaltungen kamen hinzu.
Biblion Ltd. betreibt zudem eine Online-Plattform (biblion.co.uk), die seit einigen Jahren mit der amerikanischen biblio.com zusammenarbeitet.
